My fave Glasgow venue the GFT are hosting 'A conversation with fathers about autism' next week with broadcaster Stuart Cosgrove and communications specialist John Hatfield next week.

According to the info I've received -

‘A conversation with fathers about autism’ will focus on the personal experiences of these two fathers who are at very different stages in their autism journey. The aim is to encourage more fathers to be open about their own situations and experiences.'

Should be a good night!










I'll be there in my capacity as an autistic parent and general question asker/advice (unsolicited or not) giver so expect a full review sometime soon.

    Been a really hard few days trying to process everything regarding that incident in Leeds this week where an Autistic teen was brutally (yes really) harassed and manhandled by the police for the heinous crime of being a wee bit tipsy and saying a police officer "looked like her lesbian nana" and how it feels as an Autistic parent. It's that time of the year again where I drag this out for its annual airing. Enjoy. In those dreamy pre-Coronavirus days, I'd spend the time between drawing stuff for a living and wandering around meeting various folk to find out what they actually want me to draw (it keeps me off - well on - the streets I guess) I spend most of my time inanely blogging about films. Well Blade Runner fans we made it! Yup, the movie is no longer science fiction seeing as from today it's set right here right now. Well it;s only really right here if you're reading this in Los Angeles but you know what I mean. Anyway thought that was as good a reason as any to repost this plus if enough folk leave me nice comments it may be the boot up the arse I need to finish it. Nothing like hinting for (faint) praise is there? Well at least I'm honest. A while back I submitted an academic paper on the fun filled idea of Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner (1982) being the most Autistic movie ever made. Yes, I know I need to get out more.
