As we celebrate the great man's 75th birthday I have to just say THANK YOU for making growing up for those of us who've ever felt a wee bit different or alone much more bearable. #BowieForever.

Something for the weekend....my episode of Autism Through Cinema where I wax lyrically - and probably a wee bit over-excitedly - about THE greatest animated movie ever, Disney/Pixars Cars has arrived. Thanks to everyone at the Autism Through Cinema podcast for inviting me along and for being so welcoming. Ka-Chow!
Not content with being the poster boy for a sinister eugenics programme , top TeeVee tinker Paddy McGuinnes s and his family made a documentary called My Family And Autism (which Ro has kindly offered to review at a later date seeing as I got the short straw and had to watch Music ) because celebrity parents voices aren't really heard enough when it comes to Autism. Tho' judging from the pre-release interviews this might be different. Oh. As ever the narrative after the doc went a wee bit like this: Autism Parents: "That documentary was so amazing! We need more understanding and compassion..." Actually Autistic types (including parents: "Hmmm...some of it was a wee bit problematic..." Autism Parents: "WHAT?!!? YOU KNOW NOTHING! SHUT UP!....PILE ...
With my contribution to the Autism Through Cinema project going live next week I thought I'd share Dr Gemma L. Williams take on the Dario Argento 1985 classic Phenomena (AKA Creepers ). Enjoy.
Apologies for the lack of interesting, Autism-based updates (or rants) of late as I've been in the middle of finalizing some (fairly exciting) projects alongside being involved in the Scottish Government consultation regarding their new Autism strategy. It's all go. Anyway one of the (really fantastic) things I've been involved with - and can finally rave about - is my upcoming appearance on the Autism Through Cinema Podcast where I'll be (excitedly) talking about one of my favourite films. And you can read more about the project - and my upcoming episode - here . I'll link to the show on broadcast. Ka-Chow! Autism Through Cinema
