Auti-Tune!

Ages ago I tried to curate an Autastic tracklist but just ended up with songs that give me goosebumps and stimmy feels....you can find it here if you're interested.   Anyway, to cheer everyone up I thought I'd do a post about Autistic type tracks, basically songs I feel sum me up or I just enjoy!  Hopefully you might too.   First up (from me) my own personal Autism anthem....       And the song that reminds me of the podlings and their pals....   I've also appropriated 'Losing Sleep' by the genius that is Edwyn Collins as a top 'Tism tune too! :)   Special interests anyone?   Rho kindly added that this sums things up for her! Teenage years?....got it covered! In more ways than one... Dating? And if we're at the whole dating/relationships/emotional thing then this - but mainly because it's probably THE greatest song and vocal performance ever committed to vinyl....and the only pop tune that can reduce me to tears every time.... ...

Happy Birthday Autitude!

According to my Facebook memories today is the first anniversary of the launch of Scottish Autism's Autitude! magazine. Can't believe I've been curating/illustrating this frankly magnificent publication for that long...only seems like last week that we had the first pitch-meeting for it! Anyway, here's to the next twelve issues and to celebrate here, for your enjoyment is a collection of a few of the Spectrum Superstars featured over the past year. Don't forget that you can nominate your own!

Been a wee bit quiet on the Autistic blogging front of late - Christmas, work, school, work, things have gotten in the way a fair bit - plus I've been working on some new content that'll be less ranty and more amusing (hopefully) but couldn't let today pass without saying a big 'thank you' to the NHS staff at Partick Burgh Hall who were absolutely brilliant today when Cassidy (finally) got his Covid vaccination.     Calm, patient and really understanding - they offered so much help and support (if needed) - that it made a potentially stressful situation really easy and stress free! They even put me at ease which is quite a feat in itself! Thanks all!
