Just back from a fantastic afternoon with the really rather wonderful Tony Slattery - If there ever was a nation treasures national treasure it would be this man.
Not only is he a story-weaving wizard but an all round top bloke.



Anyway, it's a little known fact that in 1995 Tony Slattery auditioned for Doctor Who, so to celebrate I did an illo' for him.

He liked it so I did a few more and now he's the proud (I hope) owner of them.

Plus he signed one for me.

Which is pretty cool really.

It's that time of the year again where I drag this out for its annual airing. Enjoy. Cop Out.

    Been a really hard few days trying to process everything regarding that incident in Leeds this week where an Autistic teen was brutally (yes really) harassed and manhandled by the police for the heinous crime of being a wee bit tipsy and saying a police officer "looked like her lesbian nana" and how it feels as an Autistic parent. A group of children, including Autistic ones in a lovely Mental Deficiency Institution (1956).       Over 60 years since the first medical mention of Autism in the UK and here's where we are.  I really don't have the words, we're seen as absolutely nothing to the majority of folk.   Absolutely not a lesbian grandmother on Thursday.   Seriously it's fucking terrifying - A says she's a lesbian and gets really excited if she sees what she thinks is another lesbian when we're out as she feels like she's 'seen' or belongs... Well Blade Runner fans we made it! Yup, the movie is no longer science fiction seeing as from today it's set right here right now. Well it;s only really right here if you're reading this in Los Angeles but you know what I mean. Anyway thought that was as good a reason as any to repost this plus if enough folk leave me nice comments it may be the boot up the arse I need to finish it. Nothing like hinting for (faint) praise is there? Well at least I'm honest. A while back I submitted an academic paper on the fun filled idea of Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner (1982) being the most Autistic movie ever made. Yes, I know I need to get out more.
