Salad Daze.

Just a quick update that may cheer (some of) you up during lockdown, especially if you know someone with a limited diet.

As a wee bit of background to this post I have to tell you that I hate salad.

I mean I really, really hate salad.

I have never eaten it.

Ever.

Today I put salad on my veggie burger.

And this is after going to the shops to buy it specifically to eat.*

Cos I thought, what the hell I'll go for it.

And guess what?

It was lovely.

Rho is currently very pleased with me.

And I must admit I'm very pleased with myself.

Well a wee bit.













*I must add that I mad a point of choosing a leaf-type that I thought/knew I'd like as I tried a piece of spinach recently and could handle the crunchiness of it.

    Been a really hard few days trying to process everything regarding that incident in Leeds this week where an Autistic teen was brutally (yes really) harassed and manhandled by the police for the heinous crime of being a wee bit tipsy and saying a police officer "looked like her lesbian nana" and how it feels as an Autistic parent. It's that time of the year again where I drag this out for its annual airing. Enjoy. In those dreamy pre-Coronavirus days, I'd spend the time between drawing stuff for a living and wandering around meeting various folk to find out what they actually want me to draw (it keeps me off - well on - the streets I guess) I spend most of my time inanely blogging about films. Well Blade Runner fans we made it! Yup, the movie is no longer science fiction seeing as from today it's set right here right now. Well it;s only really right here if you're reading this in Los Angeles but you know what I mean. Anyway thought that was as good a reason as any to repost this plus if enough folk leave me nice comments it may be the boot up the arse I need to finish it. Nothing like hinting for (faint) praise is there? Well at least I'm honest. A while back I submitted an academic paper on the fun filled idea of Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner (1982) being the most Autistic movie ever made. Yes, I know I need to get out more. Anyway, turns out that although the folk concerned liked it the whole thing didn't really fit in with the conference in general so unfortunately couldn't be presented. Me not fitting in?
