More Work Stuff!

Not been as bust as usual over lockdown but still beavering away on a few projects.

Alongside the design work for Autistic singer/songwriter Takara Araki's first European release I've recently completed the art for volume 6 of the Get Your Genki compilation series.










But the most exciting thing about it has to be that it features - twin 2 - Embeth's very first commissioned work - a cool comic strip that runs across the cassette J-card!

She's so going to be stealing clients from me.

    Been a really hard few days trying to process everything regarding that incident in Leeds this week where an Autistic teen was brutally (yes really) harassed and manhandled by the police for the heinous crime of being a wee bit tipsy and saying a police officer "looked like her lesbian nana" and how it feels as an Autistic parent. It's that time of the year again where I drag this out for its annual airing. Enjoy. In those dreamy pre-Coronavirus days, I'd spend the time between drawing stuff for a living and wandering around meeting various folk to find out what they actually want me to draw (it keeps me off - well on - the streets I guess) I spend most of my time inanely blogging about films. Well Blade Runner fans we made it! Yup, the movie is no longer science fiction seeing as from today it's set right here right now. Well it;s only really right here if you're reading this in Los Angeles but you know what I mean. Anyway thought that was as good a reason as any to repost this plus if enough folk leave me nice comments it may be the boot up the arse I need to finish it. Nothing like hinting for (faint) praise is there? Well at least I'm honest. A while back I submitted an academic paper on the fun filled idea of Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner (1982) being the most Autistic movie ever made. Yes, I know I need to get out more.
