On A Brighter Note.....

...Do you know when you have one of those days when you finish up a major project and the client loves it so much they immediately commission you for another piece of work?
 
Today is that day.
 
Which is rather brilliant but a wee bit confusing, you see balancing the utterly stressful transport shite with the giddy highs of some fantastic new work news - plus the excitement the girls are showing at being in college - is fairly draining.
 
Too many totally different feelings and all as strong as each other so nothing to focus on.
 
My brain does black and white...subtle shades can be really tiring and very, very confusing...like being drunk on conflicting emotions.
 
Normal service soon hopefully!

    Been a really hard few days trying to process everything regarding that incident in Leeds this week where an Autistic teen was brutally (yes really) harassed and manhandled by the police for the heinous crime of being a wee bit tipsy and saying a police officer "looked like her lesbian nana" and how it feels as an Autistic parent. It's that time of the year again where I drag this out for its annual airing. Enjoy. In those dreamy pre-Coronavirus days, I'd spend the time between drawing stuff for a living and wandering around meeting various folk to find out what they actually want me to draw (it keeps me off - well on - the streets I guess) I spend most of my time inanely blogging about films. Well Blade Runner fans we made it! Yup, the movie is no longer science fiction seeing as from today it's set right here right now. Well it;s only really right here if you're reading this in Los Angeles but you know what I mean. Anyway thought that was as good a reason as any to repost this plus if enough folk leave me nice comments it may be the boot up the arse I need to finish it. Nothing like hinting for (faint) praise is there? Well at least I'm honest. A while back I submitted an academic paper on the fun filled idea of Ridley Scott's classic Blade Runner (1982) being the most Autistic movie ever made. Yes, I know I need to get out more.
