Living The High Life!

No updates recently as I've been away on a school trip to sunny Spain (I know) but just had to post as to how fantastic Glasgow Airport and EasyJet were with the group.

Looking out for gremlins...

Autistic or not, traveling can be stressful at the best of times so it's good to know that there are organizations out there willing to help and Glasgow Airport is no exception - organizing as they did a tour of the airport and its facilities for the group the week before we departed.

Beginning at the disability area at the front of the airport we were shown step by step (and in an incredibly child-friendly and pleasant way) what the journey would entail.

Which to be honest was great for me seeing as I'm a very timid flyer.

An airport and a plane yesterday, tho' I don't think it's plain I think it's lovely.

All the staff from those conducting the tour to those working at passport control and the like were lovely and incredibly accommodating, answering questions and conducting everything (and everyone) at a nice leisurely pace.

And it wasn't just on the tour that the staff were so understanding as the overall helpfulness extended to the actual trip too.

As always, contact the airport before travel to see what help/assistance they can offer.

An airplane yesterday.

Kudos too to EasyJet on our flight out, the staff were friendly and courteous, not rushing our group and doing their utmost to help both on arrival and departure, making everyone feel at ease.

Plus we had the added bonus of them inviting us visit the cockpit and talk to the pilots after landing.

Good work all round.
