Doctor! Doctor!

A quick update for anyone who's been following my mad medical escapades on this blog of late (probably no-one but thems the breaks).

Way back in June I posted about how after going to see about light therapy for that pesky psoriasis I was instead offered what sounded like a choice 'tween gamma rays and Dr. Abraham Erskine's super soldier serum before battling constant phone calls trying to persuade me to quickly choose between the two which obviously didn't freak me out at all.

No sir.

The full sorry tale is here if you're interested.

Anyway after going to see my GP in a wee bit of a panic clutching all the handouts I'd been given I felt a bit better when they were as surprised as I was seeing as they'd actually asked for light therapy to begin with so told me not to worry and just tell them that's what I wanted/was expecting.

So when the long awaited (and dreaded) phone consultation came along I pointed this out only to be told that they assumed I'd already had it so offered something else.

Obviously my accent meant that when I said (on numerous occasions)  "Can I have light therapy please?" it actually translated as "Fuck the light therapy pump me full of drugs for ever!" instead.

Phew, glad that's sorted.

Bizarrely tho' I now have a light therapy follow up appointment in place to see how it's going even before I received my first appointment.

Yes, I know.

As a bonus tho' I finally have an appointment to get my ears syringed (tomorrow) so - hopefully - will no longer be almost totally deaf after 3 months....partly looking forward to be able to hear something other than my heartbeat but also worried as I've forgotten how loud Cassidy can be.

Wish me luck.
