House It Going....

Well after almost 2 months of radio silence from housing we got a call today from our 'new' housing officer (seriously and I thought the number of Doctor Who's we currently have was mental) - it seems they want to have a meeting to get 'up to speed' on what's happening with the house.

Should be a pretty quick meeting then seeing as the answer is fuck all. 

And has been fuck all for the past 2 1/2 years.

Who knows tho', maybe this time will be different.

Nah.

    Absolutely fucking gutted here today, was waiting for Amelia to finish college and found out via X that Dave Ball had died at the tragically young age of 66, so I spent a fair bit of the afternoon sitting on the steps of GoMA listening to Soft Cell on my headphones whilst trying to process the news. And yes, I'll admit there were tears.  You see, as folk who know me (and who've read this blog) will attest, Soft Cell are my favourite band - and Marc Almond is my hero. But that's for another day. I've already posted about the importance of Marc and Dave way back in 2022 but wanted not just to repost it but add a little more Dave to the mix. A kinda text remix if you will. The Truth Is Out There.....

Been a wee bit of a bizarre week here and it's all to do with a tweet I posted regarding my home town of Sedgley in the West Midlands. You see, last Monday afternoon (7th June) I posted a photo I'd come across on an image board whilst searching for forest reference pics (It's an illustrator thing): I chose Sedgley as mainly because I thought it was funny and kinda summed up my home town. I mean as a kid we had a 'Devil Tree' behind the house as well as the infamous 'Zombie Lake' (and a local scary caravan dwelling serial killer 'Red Face' - it was the early 80s and less enlightened times, sorry) so why not aliens? Anyway I showed it to Rho, had a giggle and thought nothing else of it, until that is a few days later when it had amassed over a million views.
